Family Day

We had a great day today. I have off from work today and tomorrow because I have to work Saturday at our Anniversary Day. So, Reagan stayed home from daycare and Mike took the day off, too. We slept in a little bit, till 7 when Reagan woke up. We had already been up because of the dogs, just didn't get out of bed. So, Reagan had her bottle in bed with us, then we got ready to go to breakfast. We went to oneof the local joints for breakfast (they actually serve grits at this one). After breakfast, we went to Gettysburg Rec Park to their playground and played for a while. Reagan does not like to swing, but she loves the slide. It will suit her to go up and down as long as you let her. After the park, we went to Wal-Mart and the outlets looking for a Halloween costume for Reagan. I can't decide what she's going to be this year. Then we came home, put the car seat in the truck and went to Applebee's for lunch and then to Lowe's. Reagan is finally getting her swing set! We still have lumber at home left over from our deck project, so we really just had to get the swings, the other little odds and ends that go with a swing set and of course the most important - the slide. She was so excited at Lowe's because she was wanting that slide. Then when Daddy went to the nuts and bolts isle, she enjoyed sitting in the floor going through all the bolts. Her papa would have been proud - his little handy girl. Then we just came home and me and Reagan took a little nap. She fell asleep in the car and I knew she would wake up if I put her down right away when we got inside, so I laid down on our bed with her. Then she played downstairs with Daddy, we took a walk, and just played around outside for a little while. Then she got some quality time with Daddy because it was Howie's turn to go to the vet tonight. So while I was at the vet, she "helped" Daddy cook supper. Helped as is 2 bowls that are broken. But that's alright, I have more bowls. We enjoyed a good supper and she is now running around with Howie's harness calling Howie. She thinks he needs it back on. We love hearing her call Howie, it's just too cute. He is definitely her best friend (in her mind). He begs to differ some of the time. So, now we are just going to play until bedtime. All in all, we had a really great day. No agenda, no time line. Just being able to take a day, do as we please and enjoy each other's company. Here are a few pictures from the park this morning. You can tell she really loves the slide.
Watch me do the balance beam!!!
I just might try this on my own.

Who needs to hang on with both hands? I can do it with one!

Not my favorite thing to do! Can you get me out please??? (this is actually a good picture of her swinging, she is usually yelling at us)

Ready or not, here I come!

Did you see me???

I had fun on this red slide too!

I love this!!!

These pictures are not from family day, but from this weekend. Saturday, after runnin a few errands, she was running around in her diaper and socks. I found a pair of shoes hanging in my closet that someone had given to us when she was born. They are her size now. I put them on just to see if they fit and to see what she would do with them. I couldn't get them off of her. I they fell off, she would yell for mom, bring me the shoe and hold out her foot for me to put them back on. The funny thing is, she hasn't looked for them since. She has yet to get attached to just one thing and want that day after day. So, each day, we have a new favorite toy (or several depending on her attention span with a toy for that day). Sorry for such a long post, but these pictures are too cute not to share! Enjoy!
