Sorry, no pictures
Well, yesterday was certainly a memorable day for me. It was Reagan's first official day on the toddler side in daycare. Needless to say, I was not ready for this...my thought? She's just too little for that side. Not only being the youngest, she is definitely the smallest. She looks so tiny compared to the other kids. Well, I did good dropping her off, I was very proud of myself. I walked down to the daycare office to talk to the director about something for work. When Ms. Debi (the supervisor who was helping out in Reagan's room this morning) caught me in the hallway. She had a piece of paper in her hand and said, "I'm so sorry to have to do this." Yes, it was an incident report. Reagan hadn't even been in the classroom an hour on her first day and I had an incident report. After breakfast, Reagan was the first one finished, so she was wiped off and went to play. Well the toy she was playing with is new and the next kid to finish got wiped off and wanted that toy so yes, she pushed Reagan out of the way to get to it. so, Reagan has a nice scratch on her chin. I know things like this happen but all I could think of was, "she hadn't even been there an hour." Oh well. I know the teachers in the classroom, I trust them, and I know they handled the situation appropriately. The day was busy enough for me at work. Nothing too exciting there. But when I went to pick Reagan up, they informed me her eye had been running all afternoon. Not just watering, but really gooky stuff. Now her eye was caked up yesterday morning but I thought it was from being at the farm on Sunday. That, and it didn't run any while at home yesterday morning. So, Karen, the director, said it would be best if she didn't come in today unless I had a doctor's appt. So, we have an appt this morning with the doctor to see if she really has pink eye or not. So, we have our can of Lysol spray and have been spraying everything she's played with when she's done. It's not really too runny this morning, and I would feel fine carrying her in to school, but I can't without a dr note, so either way we have to go to the doctor. Oh well, the joys of daycare I guess. At least it will give me a little time today to get the house cleaned and get some stuff together for our trip to SC. I can't wait. Stay tuned for Thanksgiving pictures!
